A reminder before you travel to please review the following important pre-arrival information, correct as at May 2024.

Restaurants and Experiences Availability

Restaurants, tours and activities are in high demand, so it is very important to plan and book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Restaurants

  • Long Pavilion is open daily for breakfast from 6.30am to 10.30am and dinner from 6.00pm to late
  • Pebble Beach is open for lunch from 11.30am to 3.30pm daily and dinner from 6.00pm to late Tuesday - Saturday
  • qualia In-Pavilion Dining is available daily for breakfast from 6.30am to 10.30am, lunch from 11.30am to 3.30pm and dinner from 6.00pm to 10.00pm

Experiences

  • Pebble Beach Sports is open daily, with the full range of watercraft available
  • qualia’s signature Sunset Cruise operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a maximum capacity of 12 people
  • qualia’s signature food and wine experience, ‘Talk and Taste’, is offered on different days of the week and changes weekly. The new ‘Conversations with the Sommelier’ are unscheduled private sessions, with bookings subject to availability
  • Hamilton Island Golf Club is open daily
  • Spa qualia is open 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday – Saturday and 10.00am to 5.00pm Sunday
  • Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach tours and scenic flights operate on different days of the week and are weather dependent
  • Snorkelling and boating tours operate on different days of the week and are weather dependent

Cashless Payments and Debit and Credit Card Surcharges

Hamilton Island, including qualia, is a cashless environment, and we are unable to accept cash at any of our outlets. Cash deposits and withdrawals can be made using the Bank@Post service at the Australia Post office on Front Street, where cash can also be exchanged for pre-paid or top-up Mastercards. A 1.25% surcharge applies for all ‘credit’ and ‘tap and go’ transactions made on the island via credit or debit card. Payments can be made fee free via EFTPOS by inserting your card and selecting a cheque and/or savings account at the terminal.

Travel Insurance

Stay Well

Your well-being and safety are of utmost importance to us during your stay on Hamilton Island. We have a number of Stay Well measures to ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests, employees and the local community.

  • Allied Health Facility: Hamilton Island is equipped with an Allied Health facility, which provides a range of health support services. For more information about the health services provided please click here.
  • Hamilton Island Pharmacy: The Hamilton Island Pharmacy is open from 8.30am – 6.00pm daily, catering to all your pharmacy needs. You can view the pharmacy website here
  • Ambulance: The Queensland Ambulance Service operates on Hamilton island. In case of a medical emergency, please dial ‘000’.
