What is the difference between the Leeward and Windward Pavilions?
The Leeward Pavilions are open plan and studio style, with a sundeck. The Windward Pavilions are bigger with a separate bedroom, bathroom and living area, and a spectacular plunge pool.

Is it better for guests to book tours in advance or should they do it once they are on the island?
We highly recommend pre-booking as many activities as possible - to ensure availability. This even includes making dinner reservations in advance.

Where can guests dine at qualia?
Qualia has two restaurants, Pebble Beach and Long Pavilion, offering uniquely Australian dining experiences

Where do guests eat breakfast?
Breakfast at qualia’s Long Pavilion is served with a starter board of fresh tropical fruit, followed by a choice from the a la carte menu. Breakfast can be also enjoyed in the privacy of each pavilion out on the sundeck.

Is there poolside service?
The Pebble Beach restaurant lunch menu is also available to order poolside or in a cabana at the Pebble Beach infinity edge pool.

Do you have to bring beach towels?
Qualia provides complimentary beach towels

How do I get around the Island?
A complimentary electric golf buggy is provided to all guests staying at qualia. VIP transfers are also available to qualia guests for island exploring at any time during the stay.

Will there be someone at the airport to pick guests up?
qualia guests are met by VIP transfer when arriving at Hamilton Island’s Airport or Marina, and transfers are organised for departure as well. 

Can guests swim at Pebble Beach at qualia?
Yes you can, but as the name suggests it is a pebble beach. The Beach Sports team at qualia can arrange complimentary beach drop offs at nearby beaches (weather and tide dependant)

When is stinger season?
This season is from October to May. Stinger suits are available to wear during this time.

Is the beach closed during stinger season?
No. However stinger suits are available and highly recommended.

What wildlife will guests encounter on Hamilton Island?
The wildlife of the Whitsundays is bountiful. Some islands are home to the kangaroo's smaller relative, the wallaby, as well as goannas, lumbering lizard-like reptiles. Sea eagles, kites and ospreys entertain with their food-gathering skills, while raucous sulphur-crested cockatoos and cackling kookaburras make their presence known within the forests. Guests can also visit Hamilton Island Wildlife to encounter a range of marsupials, insects, snakes and lizards, as well as koalas, kangaroos and even a resident crocodile.
